It was a peaceful trail through the forest journeying around Loch Dunmore that combined state-of-the-art visuals and a rousing music score.

The Enchanted Forest is organised by the multi-award-winning creative team of Zoë Squair as creative producer, Kate Bonney and Simon Hayes as lighting designers, and RJ McConnell and Jon Beales who provide sound design and music.

Zoë Squair - an Edinburgh-based freelance Producer, Project and Production Manager - has been involved with the event for the last three years.

“The Enchanted Forest is such a unique event, not just for its creative response to its beautiful surroundings but because it is truly rooted in the community of Pitlochry.

“It is ultimately run for and by the community, with the Enchanted Forest Community Trust taking it forward on behalf of the community and contributing to numerous local businesses and charities each year.”

Kay, who visited from Edinburgh, said: "This is my first review of any UK attraction that I can honestly say was as well organised and as 'slick' as Disney! The entire event was managed well and was handled well from start to finish.

"The show lasted approximately an hour but you can stay and walk round the forest as long as you want until close. There were spectacular light and music shows in the forest with unique themed areas, coupled with toasting marshmallows, what can’t be good about this?"

Currently prices are free for children under three, £10 for children three to 15 and £20 for adults. A shuttle bus to and from the forest from the Fisher’s Hotel in the centre of Pitlochry is included in the price. Prices are subject to change and may increase as the event dates draw closer.
