Ta-da! Snowman Larry performs a headstand at Leith Links

Larry the Snowman takes an upside down look at Leith Links park.

His maker, Serena Jagpal, with friend Gail Bowman, shared her own photograph of him on the 'I love Leith' Facebook group yesterday.

Larry justified his position: ''Converse were never designed for trekking in the show anyway.' Photo by Edinburgh&Us.

She wrote: "If anyone is on Leith Links keep an eye out for Larry, we worked really hard on him. A snow day well spent I reckon!"

Larry has been in hold in the position for 16 hours now. For humans the longest headstand recorded is more than an hour but yoga enthusiasts recommend staying in the position for only a minute or two.

Today, Edinburgh is still on standstill after snowy conditions called the 'Beast of the East' struck three days ago.

But, for Larry life goes on and he smiles at all of the walkers and children enjoying the snow.

Almost 300 people have liked the photograph of Larry posted to the group page and James Hepburn commented: "Larry has clearly been in the Central Bar all day".
